Location

The Avra Palm hotel is a small hotel in the south of the island, located directly on Kakia Skala beach in Koutsounari. The town of Ierapetra is approx. 9 kilometers away. Heraklion International Airport is about 100 km from the hotel.

Facilities

The Avra Palm hotel has 27 rooms and offers its guests a lobby with reception, Wi-Fi (included), TV room, small library, taverna, and a snack bar. In the outdoor area, the hotel offers its guests a palm garden and a swimming pool with sun loungers and umbrellas (included). The hotel also has a private beach; sun loungers and umbrellas are also included there. Pool/beach towels are available for a fee, and parking facilities are also available for a fee.

Double room

The double rooms have a bathroom or shower/WC, hairdryer, individually controlled air conditioning, safe (for a fee), telephone, satellite TV, Wi-Fi (included), refrigerator, balcony or terrace (D). A welcome drink is provided upon arrival. Also bookable as a Super Saver room (SSZ) or with sea view (DM).

Double room Type A

With the same amenities as the double rooms, they have sleeping facilities for 4 people (4BZ) and are slightly larger. Also bookable with sea view for an additional charge (4VM).

Breakfast/Half board

Breakfast (8-10 am) buffet style. For guests with half board booked, dinner is a choice of menu with dishes from Cretan cuisine (7-9 pm).
The hotel offers guests dishes made with local ingredients.

Note for Climate Resilience Contribution

For stays from 01/01/2018 onwards, the Greek government levies a contribution for climate resilience, which is to be paid by the guest on-site, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and will be tiered from €0.50 to €15 per day and room from 01/01/2025.
