Location

The Atlantica Ocean Beach Resort is located directly on the pebble beach of Maleme. A few restaurants and cafés are within walking distance. It is approx. 7 km to the popular tourist resort of Platanias, known for its beautiful coastline. The city of Chania, famous for its historic Venetian old town and old harbor, is only approx. 17 km from the hotel. The distance to Chania airport is approx. 34 km.

This beautiful hotel complex, last renovated in 2024, has a total of 356 rooms and offers its guests a lobby with a 24-hour reception, lounge, 2 elevators, a main restaurant "Samaria", 2 à la carte restaurants (Greek cuisine in "Oregano" and Asian cuisine in "Jasmine"), snack area, 3 bars, club/discotheque, mini-market, jeweler, and souvenir shop. Wi-Fi is included throughout the entire complex. In the well-maintained outdoor area, there are 4 swimming pools, a pool bar, and an aqua park with a total of 9 water slides. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available free of charge at the pool and beach. Bath towels are also provided free of charge.

Double room

The rooms feature a walk-in shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, safe, telephone, smart TV, Wi-Fi (included), mini-fridge, coffee/tea-making facilities, and a balcony or terrace (D).
Optionally available at an extra charge with sea view (DM), with an extra bed (DA), or with an extra bed and sea view (DMA).

Quadruple room

With the same facilities as the double rooms, these rooms have additional sleeping options in the form of 2 sofa beds and are located in the main building (DB).
Optionally available with a sea view for an extra charge (4VM).

Superior double room sea view

With the same facilities as the double rooms, these rooms are freshly renovated and feature a sea view (DMU).

Family suite

With the same facilities as the double rooms, the family suites consist of a living/bedroom and a separate bedroom and feature an espresso machine as an additional amenity (2FS).
Optionally available with a side sea view for an extra charge (FSS).

Family suite sea view swim-up

Like the family suites, but with an additional terrace and direct access to a sharing pool, as well as a sea view (2FM).
The swim-up pool is not monitored by a lifeguard. We kindly ask for cautious behavior and special attention when using this area.
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased potential danger for small children.
For this reason, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children when booking these room types for safety reasons.

Information on climate resilience levy

For stays starting from 1/1/2018, the Greek government charges a climate resilience levy, which is to be paid by the guest on site, comparable to a tourist tax.
The amount depends on the type/category of the accommodation and is staggered from 1/1/2025 at 0.50 euros - 15 euros per day and room.
