Location

The Plakias Cretan Resort is situated in a quiet location, separated from the beautiful sandy beach of Plakias only by a coastal road. The centre of Plakias with its taverns, cafés and shopping facilities is reachable in about a five-minute walk. The town of Rethymno is around 35 kilometres away. Heraklion Airport is at a distance of approx. 110 kilometres, and Chania Airport is about 95 kilometres away.

The well-maintained apartment complex has a total of 45 rooms and offers its guests a lobby with a 24-hour reception. In the lushly landscaped outdoor area, there are 3 freshwater swimming pools as well as a separate children's pool. Sun loungers and parasols are included at the pool and on the beach. Bath towels can be borrowed free of charge. Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the entire hotel complex.

Studio

The well-equipped studios consist of a combined living/sleeping room and feature a bath/WC, a modern equipped kitchen, dining area, refrigerator, air conditioning (included), satellite TV, safe, and a terrace (S12). Can also be booked for single use (S11).

Apartment

With the same facilities as the studios, the apartments additionally feature 1 separate bedroom and a balcony or terrace (A12/A2I). Also available optionally for single use (A11) or as an apartment with 2 separate bedrooms (A22).

Superior Apartment

These feature the same facilities as the apartments, include 2 bedrooms, and are renovated (2AU).

Villa Sea View 3 Bedrooms Private Pool

The villa with sea view, 3 bedrooms and private pool extends over two floors. On the ground floor, there is one bedroom, bath/WC, a cosy living area and a modern kitchen with a dining area. The veranda offers a beautiful view of the private pool and the garden.
On the first floor, there are two further bedrooms, a bathroom with shower/bathtub and a washing machine. Amenities also include air conditioning (included), satellite TV, safe, bathrobes, hairdryer and bath towels (M3V, bookable upon request).
The private pool is not supervised by a lifeguard. We ask for prudent behaviour and special attention when using this area.
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased safety risk for small children.
For this reason, for safety reasons, a minimum age of 6 years applies to children for bookings of these room types at Schauinsland-Reisen.

Destination information

For stays from 1 January 2018, the Greek government charges a climate resilience levy, which is to be paid by the guest on site, comparable to a tourist tax.
