Spend a relaxing yet sporty and active holiday in Maria Alm. The non-smoking Marco Polo Alpina Family and Sports Hotel (altitude approx. 1000 m) is located in the Hinterthal district, about 5 km from the center. Cafés and restaurants are located directly at the hotel, the nearest shopping facilities are about 5 km away from your holiday residence. In Saalfelden, about 18 km away, the picturesque Ritzensee lake awaits all water lovers. You can also cool off on hot summer days at the public outdoor pool Sommerstein in Maria Alm, about 8 km away.

In summer, the hotel is the ideal starting point for hiking and cycling tours. A hiking bus (free of charge) will take you to the directly adjacent Hochkönig hiking area with the Butterfly Trail. The hiking bus stop is about 350 m away. The Hochmaisbahn cable car is also about 850 m away. You can get active on a cycle path directly at the hotel and enjoy the landscape at the same time.

In winter, the accommodation is particularly suitable for alpine skiers, cross-country skiers, and for extended winter hikes. If there is sufficient snow, you can ski directly down to the Marco Polo Alpina Family and Sports Hotel. A ski bus stop is located about 100 m from the hotel, and the ski bus is free of charge. A practice lift (directly at the hotel) is available for ski beginners. The cable car in the Ski Amadé ski area is only about 200 m from the hotel. The nearest cross-country ski trail is directly at the hotel.

Facilities

In addition to a total of 106 accommodation units, the Marco Polo Alpina Family and Sports Hotel offers a welcoming reception hall with seating areas, a reception, a lounge, and an e-car charging station. Your accommodation consists of a main building and an annex building, with the main and annex buildings connected. Enjoy culinary delights in the à la carte restaurant "Bistro", the breakfast room, the restaurant "Ambiente", and a traditional Stüberl. You can end an eventful holiday day in good company at the hotel bar "Hochkönig Bar". There is also a terrace, open in winter, available for relaxation. A lockable ski and snowboard storage room, accessible from the hotel, is available for your winter sports equipment.
In summer, cyclists have the option to store their bicycles in the hotel's lockable bicycle storage room. Smoking is not permitted in the entire hotel area.

The apartments consist of a living/sleeping area and have a kitchenette (with microwave, kettle, coffee machine, refrigerator, and dishes). The living/sleeping area has a double bed and a single sofa bed.

Apartment 1 Bedroom

The apartments (A12, approx. 41-45 sqm) feature a flat-screen TV with cable TV and integrated radio, direct dial telephone, seating area, shower, toilet, hairdryer, and a balcony or terrace. The apartments consist of a bedroom, a living/sleeping area, and have a kitchenette (with microwave, kettle, coffee machine, refrigerator, and dishes). The living/sleeping area has a double sofa bed. A double bed is available in the bedroom.
Notes: When booking an apartment, it is a family apartment D1 or D2 according to the hotel's homepage. Apartments D1 are located in the Alpina and have 2 bathrooms. Apartments D2 are in the Hochkönig or Schöneck.
