The Hotel Porto Mare offers its guests the perfect atmosphere for relaxation. The hotel features 198 rooms, an elevator, a buffet restaurant, three à la carte restaurants, various bars, and four conference rooms. In the spacious garden area, there are two freshwater swimming pools with a separate children's pool and a pool bar. Sun loungers, pool towels, and parasols are included by the pool. With the same amenities as the double rooms, these are renovated and feature a minibar stocked with water and soft drinks (filled once upon arrival) as well as a Nespresso machine and a welcome gift (DMU).

Junior Suite Lateral Sea View

Zusatzhinweis

Star tour excursion program (subject to change/daily arrival possible):
Eira do Serrado/Monte (Monday/Thursday): Discover the most beautiful panoramas of Madeira on this half-day tour. From the Pico dos Barcelos vantage point, you look over the bay of Funchal and continue to Eira do Serrado, from where you can look down to the bottom of an extinct volcano. Down below lies the village of Curral das Freiras (Nuns' Valley). Continue to Monte, where you will visit the church of Nossa Senhora do Monte. On the way back, you have the opportunity to ride the traditional toboggan sleds. (Not included in the price)
Porto Moniz (Wednesday/Friday): Departure towards Câmara de Lobos (fishing village where the famous Espada – black scabbardfish – is caught). Continue via Cabo Girão (at 580m the highest sea cliff in Europe), and then the route takes us along the coast to Ribeira Brava. From Ponta de Sol, we head up to the plateau of Pául da Serra (1400m). Finally, we descend to Porto Moniz to the natural seawater pools. The lunch break is taken here. The return trip is via the north coast and leads through Seixal to São Vicente. From there, we go up over the Encumeada pass (1007m), where you can see the north and south coasts at the same time. Then return to Funchal.
Santana (Tuesday/Saturday): Departure into the mountains via Poiso towards Pico do Arieiro (1810m). The route then leads downhill to Ribeiro Frio. Here you are in the middle of Madeira's laurel forest (Laurisilva), which has been declared a World Heritage Site. The trip continues to Santana, known for its thatched houses. The lunch break is taken here. Afterwards, we go to Pico do Facho. Then return to Funchal.
Levada and Botanical Garden (Monday/Wednesday): The 4th and final excursion takes us, after an approx. 1.5-hour Levada hike (difficulty level: easy), to the Botanical Garden, which is famous for its approx. 3,000 different plant species (entrance fee and tour included).
