Location

Built in 1834, the Quinta Bela São Tiago is situated in a quiet location on the edge of the beautiful old town of Funchal and is surrounded by 5,700 square meters of land. The incomparable view from the terrace over the Atlantic Ocean, the bay of Funchal, and the surrounding mountains makes the Quinta something very special. The picturesque alleys of the old town with their cafés, bars, and restaurants, as well as many lovely walking paths and viewpoints, can be reached in just a few minutes on foot. Fort São Tiago with its exhibition center is also in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. It is also just a few minutes' walk to the bus stop, the Monte cable car station, and Funchal's old market hall. Several interesting museums, historic buildings, the municipal theater, cinemas, parks, and gardens complement Funchal's diverse cultural offerings.

The former manor house has been restored with great care and attention to detail. The hotel has 64 rooms spread over 3 floors, a lift, and a freshwater outdoor pool with panoramic views. Furthermore, Wi-Fi, a sauna, a whirlpool, a steam bath, and a fitness room are available. The "O Pórtico" restaurant is located in the old part of the house, in the former dining room, and offers a comfortable and cozy ambiance with regional and international specialties. An extensive breakfast buffet awaits guests in the conservatory, where the sunrise over the city of Funchal can be observed.

Double room premium sea view

The premium sea view double rooms are equipped like the sea view double rooms (with balcony) but are located on the top floor. The following additional services are provided: coffee machine (Dolce Gusto) with 2 free capsules (upon arrival only), bathrobes, slippers, a bottle of water, a bottle of Madeira wine, and a honey cake (2PM).
