Location

Located directly by the sea, on a cliff above "Doca do Cavacas" and "Praia Formosa" with a panoramic view of the Atlantic. The center of Funchal is approx. 4.5 km away, the beach "Praia Formosa" approx. 10 minutes on foot, and the Lido just a few minutes away. Shops, such as the modern shopping center "Forum", are in the immediate vicinity, and a bus stop is located directly in front of the hotel.

The comfortable and modernly furnished 4-star hotel has a total of 172 rooms, suites, and apartments, spread across 7 floors and 3 building sections (A, B, and C). Amenities include a lobby with a reception and seating area, 2 elevators per building section, a restaurant, 2 bars, an internet corner (free of charge), and Wi-Fi (free throughout the hotel), a TV corner, and a library. In the well-maintained garden area, the freshwater swimming pool with a sun terrace and pool bar "Goldenout" (open in summer) invites you to swim and relax. Separate from the adult pool, there is a separate children's pool. Additionally, a heated indoor pool is available for guests.

The double rooms are located in building C, are approx. 34 m² in size, stylishly and high-quality furnished, with shower/WC, hairdryer, telephone, Wi-Fi (included), rental safe (for a fee), satellite and cable TV, minibar (for a fee), kettle, air conditioning, and a balcony with side sea view (DMS).
Available as a double room for single use with side sea view (DES).

Apartment with side sea view

The apartments with side sea view are located in building B, are approx. 62 m² in size, and have the same amenities as the double rooms, plus a living/dining area with a sofa bed and a fully equipped kitchenette (stove, microwave, etc.) (2AS).
Apartment with sea view bookable for an additional charge (2AM). Occupancy for 2 adults, 2 children, and 1 baby possible on request.
Available as an apartment with side sea view type O with a special price and limited availability (ASO).

Suite

The suites (approx. 52 m²) have the same amenities as the apartments, but with a slightly smaller living/dining area, a fully equipped kitchenette, and are located in building A (S2).
Suite with side sea view (building A) is bookable for an additional charge (MS2).
Available as Suite type O (SO) or Suite side sea view type O (M2O) with a special price and limited availability.

Star Tour Excursion Program (subject to change/daily arrival possible):
Eira do Serrado/Monte (Monday/Thursday): Discover Madeira's most beautiful panoramas on this half-day tour. From Pico dos Barcelos viewpoint, you overlook Funchal Bay and continue to Eira do Serrado, from where you can look down into the crater of an extinct volcano. At the bottom lies the village of Curral das Freiras (Nun's Valley). Continue to Monte, where you visit the church of Nossa Senhora do Monte. On the way back, you have the opportunity to ride the traditional basket sleds. (Not included in the price)
Porto Moniz (Wednesday/Friday): Departure towards Câmara de Lobos (fishing village where the famous Espada – Black Scabbardfish – is caught). Continue via Cabo Girão (Europe's highest sea cliff at 580m), and then the route follows the coast to Ribeira Brava. From Ponta de Sol, ascend to the Paul da Serra plateau (1400m). Finally, descend to Porto Moniz to the natural sea pools. A lunch break is taken here. The return journey follows the north coast via Seixal to São Vicente. From there, ascend via the Encumeada pass (1007m), where you can see both the north and south coasts simultaneously. Afterwards, return to Funchal.
Santana (Tuesday/Saturday): Departure into the mountains via Poiso towards Pico do Arieiro (1810m). Descend to Ribeiro Frio. Here you are in the heart of Madeira's Laurel forest (Laurisilva), a UNESCO World Heritage site. Continue to Santana, known for its thatched houses. A lunch break is taken here. Afterwards, proceed to Pico do Facho. Then return to Funchal.
Levada and Botanical Garden (Monday/Wednesday): The 4th and final excursion takes us on a approx. 1.5-hour levada walk (difficulty: easy) to the Botanical Garden, famous for its approx. 3,000 different plant species (entrance fee and guided tour included).
