Location

Located directly by the sea on a cliff above "Doca do Cavacas" and "Praia Formosa" with panoramic views of the Atlantic. The center of Funchal is approx. 4.5 km away, the beach "Praia Formosa" is approx. a 10-minute walk, and the Lido is just a few minutes away. Shopping facilities, such as the modern "Forum" shopping center, are in the immediate vicinity, and a bus stop is located directly in front of the hotel.

The comfortable and modern 4-star hotel has a total of 172 rooms, suites, and apartments spread over 7 floors and 3 building sections (A, B, and C). Amenities include a lobby with a reception and seating area, 2 elevators per building section, a restaurant, 2 bars, an internet corner (free of charge), and Wi-Fi (free throughout the hotel area), a TV corner, and a library. In the well-maintained garden area, the freshwater swimming pool with a sun terrace and the "Goldenout" pool bar (open in summer) invite you to swim and relax. Separate from the adult pool, there is a separate children's pool. Additionally, guests have access to a heated indoor pool.

Same facilities as the double rooms, but located in building A and without a balcony with inland views (EO).

Double room

The double rooms are located in building C, are approx. 34 m² in size, stylishly and high-quality furnished, with shower/WC, hairdryer, telephone, Wi-Fi (included), safe, satellite and cable TV, minibar (for a fee), electric kettle, air conditioning, and balcony with partial sea view (DMS).

Apartment with partial sea view

The apartments with partial sea view are located in building B, are approx. 45 m² in size, and have the same facilities as the double rooms, with the addition of a living/dining room with a sofa bed and a fully equipped kitchenette (stove, microwave, etc.) (2AS).
Apartment with sea view bookable for an additional charge (2AM). Occupancy with 2 adults, 2 children, and 1 baby possible on request.
Bookable as an apartment with partial sea view Type O at a special price and with limited availability (ASO).

Premium Apt. Sea view (bookable from winter 26/27)

The premium apartments with sea view have the same facilities as the apartments with partial sea view, but are more spacious at approx. 62 m² and have a sea view (PN2). Also bookable as a premium apartment with partial sea view Type O at a special price and limited availability (2OS), as well as with a direct sea view Type O (ASO).

Suite (Summer 26)

The suites (approx. 45 m²) have the same facilities as the apartments, but with a slightly smaller living/dining room, fully equipped kitchenette, located in building A (S2).
Suite with partial sea view (building A) is bookable for an additional charge (MS2).

Zusatzhinweis

Star tour excursion program (subject to change/daily arrival possible):
Eira do Serrado/Monte (Monday/Thursday): Discover the most beautiful panoramas of Madeira on this half-day tour. From the Pico dos Barcelos hill, you overlook the bay of Funchal, and the tour continues to Eira do Serrado, from where you can look down to the floor of an extinct volcano. At the bottom lies the village of Curral das Freiras (Nuns Valley). Continue to Monte, where you will visit the church of Nossa Senhora do Monte. On the way back, you have the opportunity to ride the traditional wicker sledges. (Not included in the price)
Porto Moniz (Wednesday/Friday): Departure towards Câmara de Lobos (fishing village where the famous black scabbardfish – Espada – is caught). The tour continues via Cabo Girão (highest cliff in Europe at 580m), and then the path leads along the coast to Ribeira Brava. From Ponta do Sol, it goes uphill to the Pául da Serra plateau (1400m). Finally, it goes downhill to Porto Moniz to the natural sea swimming pools. The lunch break will be taken here. The return journey is via the north coast and leads via Seixal to São Vicente. From there, it goes uphill via the Encumeada pass (1007m), where you can see the north and south coasts at the same time. Afterwards, return to Funchal.
Santana (Tuesday/Saturday): Departure into the mountains via Poiso towards Pico do Arieiro (1810m). The route then goes downhill to Ribeiro Frio. Here you are in the middle of Madeira's laurel forest (Laurisilva), which has been declared a World Heritage Site. The tour continues to Santana, which is known for its thatched houses. The lunch break will be taken here. Afterwards, you will go to Pico do Facho. Afterwards, return to Funchal.
Levada and Botanical Garden (Monday/Wednesday): The 4th and last excursion leads us after an approx. 1.5-hour Levada hike (difficulty level: easy) to the Botanical Garden, which is famous for its approximately 3,000 different plant species (entrance fee and guided tour included).
