Decorated in an Andalusian style, the Playa de la Luz hotel is located directly on the beach, nestled between pine forests and dunes, right next to the Los Corrales natural monument. The center of the beautiful town of Rota, with its restaurants, shops, and bars, is just approx. 2 km away.

Built in the style of a Spanish hacienda, the hotel has a total of 231 rooms. Facilities include a lobby with a reception, a souvenir shop (in high season), a buffet restaurant, an à la carte restaurant, and a lounge. In the hotel's garden area, there is a swimming pool (freshwater) with a separate children's pool, a sun terrace with a lawn for sunbathing, and a pool bar. Sun loungers and parasols are provided here free of charge. From mid-June to mid-September, a chill-out bar, a beach bar, and the beach club (1x saltwater pool / €5 entry fee per room per day, adults only) are available on the beach, weather permitting. Sun loungers on the beach are free of charge, except from June to September (approx. €6 per day).

Double room Superior

The double room Superior features the same amenities as the double room, but is larger, includes a bathtub and massage shower in the bathroom, a separate toilet, and is mostly located on the 1st floor with a view of the pool or patio (DSU).

Junior Suite

The junior suites feature the same amenities as the double room Superior, but with a separate living/bedroom area (mostly consisting of two rooms, some consisting of one room) (JS2).
(Additionally bookable under XRYA12 with JS2, as type B (J2B) or as a saver junior suite with separate allocations (JSS) - all with a combined living/sleeping area (ONE room)).

Studio

Renovated in 2019, these comfortable studios offer approx. 35-40 m² of space and also feature a shower or bathtub/WC, air conditioning, minibar (for a fee), rental safe, hairdryer, telephone, Wi-Fi, sofa, and a balcony with seating (S12).

Family junior suite

The family junior suites, with otherwise the same amenities as the double rooms, have a bedroom with two single beds, a spacious bathroom with a bathtub, and a living room with two additional beds (FJ3).

The family rooms offer approx. 50 m² of space and are located on the ground floor. They feature a separate bedroom, a living/sleeping area with folding beds, minibar (for a fee), air conditioning, bath or shower/WC, telephone, hairdryer, and terrace (DF2).

Arrival by car

Directions from Jerez Airport (XRY):
After leaving the airport grounds, you will reach the A4. Now drive towards Jerez/Cadiz. Bypass the city of Jerez and after a few kilometers, you will reach the Sanlucar/Chipiona exit. After a few kilometers on the subsequent coastal road, you will see the sign for Rota. Follow this sign and leave the coastal road at the Rota exit. Now drive in Rota towards "centro ciudad"/city center. You will arrive at the town center and thus at your holiday hotel, Playa de la Luz. Travel time approx. 30-45 minutes.
Directions from Seville Airport (SVQ):
After leaving the airport grounds, you will reach the "A4/AP4". Keep driving towards "Cadiz". Bypass the city of Seville and after approx. 10 km, you will reach the exit for Cadiz. Now get on the "AP4" to Cadiz, which has a toll of about €6.
After 90 km, you will reach Jerez de la Frontera and simultaneously leave the motorway at the "Jerez/Aeropuerto" exit. Follow the signs for Aeropuerto until you reach the "A4" towards Cadiz. Now take the "A4" towards Cadiz, and after approx. 15 km, take the "Sanlucar/Chipiona" exit. After a few kilometers, you will see the sign for Rota. Now drive in Rota towards "centro ciudad"/city center and you will arrive at the town center, where you will find your holiday hotel, "Playa de la Luz". Travel time approx. 90 minutes.
Directions from Malaga Airport (AGP):
Leave the airport grounds and take the N340 towards Cadiz. Continue on this road until the motorway exit A7 Algeciras/Cadiz. The A7 runs directly to Algeciras (approx. 100 km). Therefore, always follow the A7. On the way, you will repeatedly see signs for the AP7. This is the toll motorway, which you can also follow, of course. Arriving in Algeciras, leave the A7 at the Jerez/Los Barrios exit. This motorway leads you directly to Jerez and also ends there. Drive for 90 km to the end of the motorway, until it becomes a single-lane country road. After a few meters, leave the country road and drive onto the AP4 towards Seville. Follow the AP4 for only a short distance, because you will leave the AP4 at the next exit, Jerez Norte/Aeropuerto, and drive towards Aeropuerto. Follow the signs until you reach the A4 Cadiz. Now take the A4 towards Cadiz and leave the motorway after approx. 15 km at the Sanlucar/Chipiona exit. After a few kilometers, you will see the sign for Rota. Now drive in Rota towards "centro ciudad"/city center and you will arrive at the town center and thus at your holiday hotel, Playa de la Luz. Travel time approx. 3 hours.
