Inside cabin

The modern and functionally furnished inside cabins of the Costa Smeralda offer a comfortable setting for relaxing days at sea. Facilities include air conditioning, interactive satellite TV (pay-TV for a fee), bathroom with shower and WC, hairdryer, safe, minibar (for a fee), and Wi-Fi (for a fee).
With a size of approx. 13 m², the inside cabins offer space for up to four people. Depending on the cabin location and category, twin beds may be available. The well-thought-out design ensures a pleasant atmosphere and high living comfort throughout the entire cruise.

Outside cabin

The outside cabins of the Costa Smeralda feature a large window or, in some cases, portholes and offer a beautiful sea view. With a size of approx. 20 m², the ocean-view cabins offer space for 2 to 4 people (partly twin beds). Facilities include air conditioning, satellite TV, bathroom with shower, hairdryer, safe, and minibar and Wi-Fi for a fee. The well-thought-out design and spacious feeling make the outside cabin a comfortable retreat during the cruise.

Balcony cabin

The balcony cabins of the Costa Smeralda combine modern living comfort with a private outdoor area and a magnificent view of the sea. The private balcony invites you to enjoy the fresh sea air and impressive views in a relaxed atmosphere.
The cabins are approx. 17 m² (plus balcony) and offer space for 2 to 4 people. Facilities include air conditioning, satellite TV, bathroom with shower, hairdryer, safe, and minibar and Wi-Fi for a fee. Some cabins are equipped with twin beds.

Meals

Full board

On board, a total of 11 restaurants provide culinary variety with specialties from all over the world. These include, among others, a buffet restaurant, the "Pummid’Oro" pizzeria, the Teppanyaki restaurant, the family restaurant "Tutti a Tavola," as well as the "Laboratorio del Gusto," where selected dishes can be prepared by oneself (partly for a fee and by reservation). The dining times in the main restaurants are set by Costa.
The gastronomic offer is complemented by 19 bars and cafés (for a fee), including the Spazio Bollicine by Ferrari Spumante, the Aperol Spritz Bar, the Campari Bar, the sports bar, the Bacaro Veneziano, the Nutella Café, and two Amarillo ice cream parlors. In addition to the full board services, the MyItalian indulgence package can be booked. This includes a large selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for any time of the day. This includes, among others, cocktails such as Aperol Spritz, Campari Spritz, Negroni, and Martini cocktails, high-quality coffee specialties by Caffè Vergnano, as well as beer, soft drinks, and mineral water.
Also included are selected liqueurs, spirits, and bitters, including Limoncello, Grappa, Averna, and Ramazzotti, as well as Italian red, rosé, and white wines, Prosecco, and Spumante. The offer is complemented by homemade Italian ice cream and selected culinary specialties. The extensively and modernly equipped fitness center with a magnificent sea view offers ideal conditions for daily training on board. Various cardio and weight machines enable sporting activities in a pleasant atmosphere.

For additional sporting activities, various courses such as yoga, Pilates, and Kinesis are available in the aerobic studio (for a fee). Furthermore, individual training sessions with professional supervision can be booked in the fitness center (for a fee). Thus, the personal fitness program can also be flexibly designed during the cruise.

Children's program

For children and teenagers, the Costa Smeralda offers a varied and age-appropriate leisure program in the popular Squok Kinderclub. While the youngest guests can let off steam in the Mini Club (3–6 years) with games and creative activities, the Maxi Club (7–11 years) offers a diverse entertainment and activities program.
For teenagers, the Teen Junior Club (12–14 years) and the Teen Club (15–17 years) are available with age-appropriate activities, games, and meeting points. Thus, young guests find the best conditions for making new friends and spending varied holiday days.

The Samsara Spa (for a fee) extends over about 6,000 m² on four decks and offers an exclusive oasis of relaxation at sea. Facilities include a thermal bath, a thalassotherapy pool, saunas, a Turkish steam bath, a solarium, and several whirlpools.
The wellness offer is rounded off by diverse wellness, beauty, and massage treatments that invite guests to take relaxing breaks and experience pure regeneration in a stylish ambiance.

Entertainment

For varied entertainment, spectacular shows in the theater, live music, a piano bar, a nightclub, and a casino for guests aged 18 and over are provided. The diverse onboard program offers numerous opportunities for entertaining hours at sea during the day and in the evening.
For relaxation and swimming fun, four pools are available, including a covered pool area and a separate swimming deck. Special highlights include the Aqua Park with several water slides and water attractions, as well as the spectacular Skywalk at a height of around 65 meters, which enables impressive views of the sea.

Location

The renovated Alua Tenerife hotel is located in Puerto de la Cruz. The town center is about 1 km away, and the volcanic sandy beach of Playa Jardin, a work by the artist Cesar Manrique, is about 2 minutes' walk (approx. 150m) away. Tenerife North Airport is about 25 km away and Reina Sofia Airport is about 80 km away.
You can reach the world-famous Loro Parque after about a 10-minute walk.

Facilities

The extensively renovated family hotel features 424 rooms on 5 floors, accessible via 6 elevators. In addition, the building has a panoramic elevator that goes to the top floor, where there is a terrace with an impressive view of the city and the coast. The hotel facilities also include a reception and 2 conference rooms. The hotel has a very beautiful and spacious pool area with 2 outdoor pools (one heated), including 1 children's pool (sun loungers and umbrellas included), heated indoor pool (for a fee), pool towels (for a deposit), and a children's playground.
