The hotel is located directly on the golden sandy beach of Playa Dorada, surrounded by the Playa Dorada golf course. Puerto Plata airport is just a 15-minute drive from the resort.

The Emotions hotel features 454 elegantly appointed rooms. Guests will also find a variety of dining and beverage options in different restaurants and bars. Every morning, the "Ergos" restaurant serves a typical Dominican breakfast, while lunch and dinner are offered in buffet style. In the à la carte restaurants, you will find Italian, Mexican, and Dominican cuisine. The hotel features several swimming pools (main/sports/kids' pool), a pool bar, a fitness/wellness area, and a disco.

Superior Double Room

The double rooms are equipped with a flat-screen TV with USB, air conditioning, safe, minibar (replenished daily), Wi-Fi, hairdryer, telephone, and a balcony or terrace. A coffee maker can be provided.

Deluxe Family Room

These are more spacious and, otherwise identical in equipment to the double rooms, include a seating area and a sofa bed.

Adults Only Double Room

Features the same amenities as the standard double rooms. The rooms are located in the Adults Only Exclusive Area, which includes its own swimming pool and Jacuzzi for use by this area only. Additional amenities include pool/beach towels in the room, a 15-minute spa treatment, daily minibar replenishment, 24-hour room service, and a pillow menu (upon request).

Swim Out

These have the same amenities as the double and Adults Only rooms, but without an Adults Only area. These rooms offer a spacious terrace with a private pool.
Rooms with direct pool access pose a potential safety risk for small children. Therefore, Schauinsland-Reisen maintains a minimum age of 6 years for children when booking these room types for safety reasons.

Essentia Club

The exclusive Essentia Club rooms feature amenities of either Superior or Deluxe rooms depending on occupancy. They are located in a prime position near the beach and offer additional comfort and premium services. Guests have access to a private Essentia Lounge with concierge service, separate check-in/check-out, and an exclusive beach area with Balinese beds. Further amenities include room service, access to the premium bar, priority reservations at à la carte restaurants, and preferred seating in the buffet restaurant. These high-quality rooms feature a king-size bed or two queen-size beds, a premium minibar, bathrobes and slippers, pool towels in the room, luxurious toiletries, and high-quality cotton linens. An evening turndown service rounds off the offer. For stays of 4 nights or more, guests also receive one complimentary 30-minute relaxation massage per stay.
Available as an Essentia Swim Out for an additional charge. Valid from 1.11.26 onwards for guests aged 18 and over (COZ/E2S).

Adults Only Junior Suite

Features the same amenities and privileges as the Adults Only Double Rooms, but is somewhat larger and includes a seating area as well as a Jacuzzi on the terrace.

Note

In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two queen-size beds (approx. 1.40 x 2m). For occupancy of 2 adults + 1/2 children/3 adults, no extra beds are provided in the room; this means occupancy: 2 people per bed, even if extra beds are listed on the confirmation!

Seasonal information

For stays between April and December, there may be an increased occurrence of seagrass and algae due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, an increased accumulation of brown algae is frequently recorded in the Caribbean during this time. This can affect the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities are, of course, making every effort to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with local municipal administrations. However, the use of appropriate machinery is required for this, which may cause a slight background noise.
