The hotel is located directly on the golden sandy beach of Playa Dorada, surrounded by the Playa Dorada golf course. Puerto Plata airport is just a 15-minute drive from the property.

The Emotions Hotel features 454 elegantly appointed rooms. Guests will also find a variety of dining and beverage options across several restaurants and bars. Every morning, the "Ergos" restaurant serves a typical Dominican breakfast, while lunch and dinner are offered buffet-style. At the à-la-carte restaurants, you can find Italian, Mexican, and Dominican cuisine. The hotel features several swimming pools (main/sports/kids' pool), a pool bar, a fitness/wellness area, and a disco.

Superior Double Room

The double rooms feature a flat-screen TV with USB, air conditioning, safe, minibar (replenished daily), Wi-Fi, hairdryer, telephone, and a balcony or terrace. A coffee maker can be provided upon request.

Deluxe Family Room

These are more spacious and offer the same facilities as the double rooms, with the addition of a seating area and a sofa bed.

Double Room Adults Only

Features the same amenities as the double rooms. These rooms are located in the Adults Only Exclusive Area, which includes its own swimming pool and Jacuzzi for the private use of this area. Additional amenities include pool/beach towels in the room, a 15-minute spa treatment, daily minibar replenishment, 24-hour room service, and a pillow menu (upon request).

Swim Out

Features the same amenities as the double rooms and Adults Only rooms, but without the Adults Only area. These rooms provide a spacious terrace with a private pool.
Rooms with direct pool access present an increased safety risk for young children. Therefore, at Schauinsland-Reisen, a minimum age of 6 years is required for children when booking these room types for safety reasons.

Essentia Swim Out

With the same features as the Swim Out rooms, guests enjoy exclusive benefits in a prime beach location, including a private lounge with concierge service as well as a separate check-in/out. A private beach area with Balinese beds and access to a premium bar provide additional comfort. Culinary-wise, guests benefit from preferred reservations at à-la-carte restaurants and reserved seating areas in the buffet restaurant. The high-quality rooms include a premium minibar, luxury toiletries, bathrobes and slippers, premium cotton bed linen, and pool towels in the room. Evening turndown service and room service complete the offer. For stays of 4 nights or more, a 30-minute couples massage per stay is included. Bookable from Nov 1, 2026, and for guests aged 18 and over (E2S).

Junior Suite Adults Only

Features the same amenities and services as the Double Room Adults Only, but is slightly larger and includes a seating area as well as a Jacuzzi on the terrace.

In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two queen-size beds (approx. 1.40m x 2m). For an occupancy of 2 adults + 1/2 children or 3 adults, no extra beds are provided in the room, meaning occupancy is 2 people per bed, even if extra beds are listed on the confirmation!

Seasonal information

For stays between April and December, there may be an increased occurrence of seaweed and algae due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, an increased presence of brown algae in the Caribbean is frequently observed during this period, which can impact the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities are, of course, striving to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with municipal administrations. This requires the use of appropriate equipment, which may cause a slight noise level.
