The Coral Level at Iberostar Selection Bavaro consists of 160 luxurious rooms. These are spread across several two-story bungalows within the newly designed hotel grounds. The hotel features a private lobby with a reception, 3 restaurants, a beach restaurant, 2 bars, a swim-up bar (at the Bavaro), garden area with lagoon-style pool landscape, sun terrace, and a snack bar. Additionally, all Coral Level guests have access to a private beach area with Balinese beach loungers.

Junior Suite

The Junior Suites (approx. 45m²) feature a sleeping and living area with a sofa bed, coffee/tea maker, minibar (replenished daily), air conditioning, ceiling fan, safe, high-quality speaker system, Wi-Fi, telephone, bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, and a balcony (JS2/JS1/KJ1/KJ2/J2B/J1B). Also bookable as a Junior Suite Oceanfront (2JO/1JO) or Junior Suite Pool Access (2YZ/1YZ).
Rooms with direct pool access present an increased safety risk for young children. Therefore, for security reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children when booking these room types.

Junior Suite Superior

With the same amenities, these rooms are located near the beach and pool (JU2/JU1). As of 01.11.2023, bookable as Junior Suite Near Beach (JNB, JNE).

Family Junior Suite

The Family Junior Suites (approx. 90m²) feature two bedrooms with a king-size bed or two queen-size beds. Bathroom with shower/WC, Wi-Fi, Smart TV, coffee machine, safe, minibar (replenished daily), iron/ironing board, air conditioning, ceiling fan, and balcony with garden view (FJS/FK8/FK9).

Note

In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two queen-size beds or one king-size bed (approx. 1.40 x 2m). For occupancy of 2 adults + 1/2 children/3 adults, no extra beds are provided in the room, meaning occupancy: 2 people per bed, even if extra beds are listed on the confirmation!

Junior Suite Terrace (PUJ292I)

The Junior Suites are approx. 41 m² in size and are equipped with bathrobes and slippers, TV, air conditioning, bathroom with shower/WC, minibar, safe, and terrace (TJS). Optionally bookable for single use (TJE) or for an additional charge with Oceanfront and Pool Access (CJO/ECJ).

Appropriate attire is requested in the restaurants (no swimwear; in à-la-carte restaurants, shirts with short sleeves). In the Dominican Republic, sinks or bathtubs/whirlpools may be integrated openly into the general living area of the hotel room without spatial separation.

Features the Winnow system to reduce food waste, 3R equipment for waste management in the hotels, and installed drinking water fountains.
Guests staying at the Bávaro complex can visit the Coral Lab to see corals and learn more about them. This is thanks to the two coral nurseries in front of the hotel where we work with our scientific team to restore the reefs.
The hotel has its own composting facility. Organic waste is converted into compost that we can use for our gardens.
We are part of the country's national mangrove restoration program, and in the Bávaro complex, we have planted more than 19,000 mangroves donated by the Ministry of the Environment.
Beehives are rescued and taken to the apiary we have on the complex, which can be visited by all guests.
In collaboration with the National Aquarium, the Institute for Environmental Law of the Dominican Republic, and the Blue Flag program, the National Aquarium rescues turtles. Once they have reached an appropriate size and level of health, they are released on the beaches of the Iberostar hotels.

Seasonal information

During stays between April and December, there may be an increased occurrence of seagrass and algae due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, there is often an increased incidence of brown algae in the Caribbean. The beach and the sea may be affected by this. The hotel management and local authorities are, of course, making every effort to clean the affected beach sections in cooperation with the municipal administrations. However, the use of appropriate equipment is necessary for this, which may cause a slight noise level.
