Location

The idyllic town of Dorfgastein is captivating not only for its central location but especially for its diverse range of activities. Dorfgastein also offers an impressive mountain backdrop. In addition, there are several interesting day-trip destinations in the vicinity of Dorfgastein waiting to be explored. Particularly recommended are the Klammstein Castle, approx. 4.1 km away, and the Alpentherme Gastein, 9.1 km away.
As soon as the first snowflakes have fallen, Dorfgastein reveals its winter splendor. The main focus is, of course, entirely on winter sports due to the proximity to the Ski Amadé ski region, which features a total of around 860 kilometers of slopes. Skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, and curling are just some of the activities you can enjoy. At the same time, there is the opportunity for snowtubing. The snow-covered landscape can be admired especially well during a winter hike with or without snowshoes, or on a ski tour. Tobogganing is also great fun.
In summer, the hotel is the ideal starting point for hikes and bike tours. The Gasteinertal hiking region is located directly at the property. The hiking bus stop is approx. 500 m away. The Dorfgastein mountain lifts can also be reached after approx. 500 m. You can engage in sports and enjoy the landscape simultaneously on a cycling path located directly at the property.

In addition to a total of 30 residential units, the smartHotel offers an inviting reception hall with seating, a reception, a lounge, and an e-bike charging station. Your accommodation consists of a main building and an annex, with the main and annex buildings being approx. 100 m apart. Let yourself be culinarily pampered in the "smartRESTAURANT" restaurant. You can round off an eventful day of vacation in a convivial atmosphere at the "smartBAR" hotel bar. A terrace is also available for relaxation. Cyclists can use the hotel's own bicycle storage room. Seasonal information

The 5 towns of Salzburger Sportwelt, Großarltal, Hochkönig, Gasteinertal, and Dachstein together form the Ski Amade ski region, with only one ski pass required for all towns. The winter sports region has perfectly groomed slopes. When the floodlights are on, the slopes can also be beautifully skied at night. Various refreshment stops and, of course, après-ski opportunities ensure conviviality off the slopes as well as warming drinks and meals in between. A snow park and a toboggan run also promise plenty of fun.

Coming from Munich, take the A8 and take the exit at the Salzburg interchange. Here, switch to the A10 in the direction of Villach/Salzburg-Süd/Italy and follow the road for 45 m, then turn right. From there, continue onto the Gasteiner Bundesstraße.
